VEGAS FULL SUSPENSION ALL MOUTAIN FRAME GOES INTO PRODUCTION IN 26 AND 29 VERSIONS

The Vegas full suspension frame is now in production and should be available by early summer. The frame features 5.5 inches of low leverage ratio travel, hammerschmidt and front derailleur routing, 10 and 12mm rear axle options, iGlide based scissor link for rear lateral stiffness, and will be fabricated from an Easton FS RAD tubeset. 26 and 29 inch versions will be available. The price target we hope to be able to achieve is under $1000 with a Fox RP23 shock.

IGUS IGLIDE SELF LUBRICATING BEARINGS BEING ADDED TO NEW FRAMES

iglideIn an effort to make future full suspension frames easier to maintain, quieter, lighter, and more reliable in pivot areas we are switching to iGus iGlide bearings. This change will be first seen on the upcoming Vegas 26 and 29 inch frames due out in fall 2009. For main pivot areas we still plan to rely on sealed cartridge bearings.

650B FRAME(S) SHOULD IT BE?

650bannounceCurrent versions of the Hooligan and Icon frames already fit the 650B wheel standard. The question we have is should we design and produce a fresh 650B specific frame? If so should it follow the current singlespeed or geared design of the Hooligan and Dillinger or be purely XC geared. Should we work on a full suspension version? Run your mouth in the comments section and let us know.
